This is a DIY kit for a 19th century commode with two drawers that work.

This is a 12th scale copy of a real 19th Century French Commode sold at Sotherbys for $466,000. The original was designed by François Linke 1855-1946. Quote from Sotherbys: "An impressive and rare gilt bronze-mounted kingwood, satiné and fruitwood floral marquetry grande commode à vantauxParis, circa 1885 "

Every detail has been copied and the kit allows you plenty of scope to reproduce to the original which was wood and gilt or be more adventurous and paint it in colours of your choice such as gilt and black or cream and black. There are two variations from the original: the marquetry decoration has been raised so the miniaturist can visualise the pattern and detail and instead of cabinet doors I have made the commode with drawers as this seemed the easy solution to casting and assembly.

There is hardly any assembly with this item so the skill is in the painting.
