12th scale 18th century Medium console table mirror
Karen Bell is one of the mini worlds great silent artisans who quietly creates beautiful miniatures. Multi-skilled, with a passion for embroidery and design I have managed to persuade karen to decorate some of my lovely 12th scale 18th century items. Always a perfectionist Karen does not disappoint and has created a wonderful range of minis that are elegant, beautifully finished and deserving of any collectors cabinet. 
The mirror is exceptionally traditional 18th century French and a copy of a real mirror in existance. Karen has given the metal frame a gilt finish with a soft aging to bring out the details. The rear of the mirror has a mottled leathery effect. I just love it when the detail is unexpected. The mirror has some slight aging which helps to accentuate the facts about mirrors being incredibly complex and expensive items to produce in the 18th century.
